Screaming Stone- Stolen Music Instrument Recovery Project

Although "Screaming Stone" could be the name of an Electro-Harmonix product, it's actually a name associated with the Stolen Music Instrument Recovery Project.

As well as being a regularly updated stolen instrument registry site, Screaming Stone also provides a search page for eBay, Craig's List and Guitar Center's used inventory listings.

This has been added to the Stratoblogster Stolen Gear Resource Directory.

Stratoblogster will also post stolen gear reports. Just submit via our comment links, and I'll get 'em posted!

That case is so sad and empty looking. I too have had equipment stolen from me, but it wasn't worth thousands of dollars. Will they ever start a project like this for local guitarists? I think not - hehe.

Stolen instruments rarely stay "local". They leave town quick!
Your local police and pawn shops should have RFID scanners, so putting Snagg chips in your gear can make it trackable almost everywhere now.
