Neal Schon's Fretboard Salami Story... Huh?!
There's been some buzz out there about a recent Neal Schon GP interview, where he talks about rubbing salami on his fretboards.I didn't read it, don't have the issue and don't see it online since GP doesn't do the whole online banana like Premier-- or should I have said "the whole salami..."?
That $6.99 newsstand price has just gotta be good for some hot tips! But it always pays to subscribe. When's the Rachel Ray GP cover coming out?
Who's read this? Just drop us a comment. I've heard about using lemon oil, linseed oil, gun oil & cologne-- even nose grease, but the salami thing is a first for me.
Schon can afford to rub anything on his fretboard, including a small Philippine man for that matter.
So if there's really any merit to this and Stewart-MacDonald plans on selling fretboard salami soon, somebody please let me know. Because if I decide to try this, I don't wanna use just any salami product. How 'bout some "Boar's Headstock".
BTW did anyone see the SNL skit "Jon Hamm's John Ham". Click Here to see it on Hulu while it lasts.
vote it up!

I saw the actual quote in the article but it was my friend's magazine so I can't give you the actual quote.
I really can't see me doing that, Boar's Head or not. ;)
That's what my problems been Gary, I've been using baloney!
Good story.
Sarge - you've got to use the right bologna to get results.
The $2.99 family pack is what I get. Last's me about a week (between strings and sandwichs).
I tell all my students about it!
Little Rock: The $2.99 bologna family pack is ok for finished maple, but the dextrose will ruin rosewood. So be advised.
